How to Beat Negative Mental States
1. Feeling Overtired
Some ways that you can overcome this is by taking a walk to get your blood moving, drinking water, taking a 20 minute nap so that you can recharge, and fuelling your body with a healthy snack.
2. Feeling Overwhelmed
You can diminish your overwhelm by making to-do lists and completing one item at a time, focusing at tasks at hand, and practicing breathing exercises.
3. Feeling a Lack of Self-Confidence
Determine whether or not you are judging yourself fairly, and come up with 3 positive qualities about yourself for every negative one.
4. Feeling Anxious and Worried
Ask yourself what the probability is that your worry will come true. Come up with multiple other possibilities that could be true about the situation.
5. Feeling Hopeless
You don't have to be hopeful for the future, but you only have to be curious about what the future holds. Remind yourself that there are a million possibilities, and that you are capable of making any one of them come true. Whether you believe you can do it, or you believe that you can't do it, you are usually right. So change your thoughts from "I can't" to "I can".
